It is not every time you get to wake up with feeling of being loved or appreciated by a person or persons, in fact, there is no rule that makes it mandatory for anyone to like or love you. Betrayed by someone you love? It is normal. Back-stabbed by some you thought was a friend? It will happen. But the question remains, what happens when there is nothing left to love?
Someone once told me, “love is the mustard seed from which the survival of humanity springs from and hangs on“, but again, one begin to wonder, how long can we survive as a damaged seed, infested by hatred inducing parasites, which unfortunately (and somehow fortunately) have become kind of a vital element in our lives.
Honestly, if you have ever felt the burden of a heartbreak, I mean a serious and a terrible heartbreak? If you have, then you can relate to this question that seems so impossible to have an answer, “What happens when there is nothing left to love”?
Losing someone I dearly loved in the most brutal manner did create a vacuum I wasn’t ready for, and while I knew, nothing stays forever, I just wasn’t prepared to deal with such situation, but then, in and through that experience, amongst others, I came to realize that after everyone is done and gone, only one person is left – YOU.
This may seem so common and quite less fanciful, but wait till you find yourself in the quagmire of depression and absolute darkness, frantically searching for a little ray of light and your sanity to hold onto. This is when you will realize that only YOU can give you strength.
This is not me telling you to become a selfish and self centered idiot, no, far from it, rather, this is me telling you that when you finally get to that point where you feel like there is nothing left to love, just remember, you have yourself to love.
Love is beautiful, and loving someone is magical. It may not give you an identity, but it sure does enhances the identity you have, and having someone who loves you with the same passion you have is almost close to perfection. But you got to know, everyone can only stay for as long as they can, not forever, and when you realize everyone is gone and nothing left to love, remember you have YOU to always love.
Love yourself with passion.
it’s a beautiful world.
